Preparing for a tattoo session is as simple as taking care of yourself. This includes eating often and healthy, drinking a lot of water, getting a good nights rest, keeping the area free of injury or sun exposure, taking vitamins or medications as needed, moisturizing and exfoliating (if you feel comfortable), and making sure you are in a calm and reliable place mentally. I find that how you show up mentally tends to affect the session much more than your physical needs at times.
If you have any allergies, sensitivities, or are taking any medication it is your responsibility to let me know ahead of time to make sure that we can give you the healthiest tattoo experience possible.
If you have been around anyone sick, suspect you may become sick, or are feeling any symptoms of illness PLEASE reschedule. Introducing virus and bacteria to my work space not only risks my health, loss of work, but puts my coworkers, their clients, and my future clients at risk. Some of which have autoimmune diseases and can create catastrophic illness for them.
I want tattooing to be a peaceful, clean, and healthy environment. I appreciate when it is respected and kept free from harms way for everyone. Rescheduling due to illness will be met with appreciation not disdain.

My hourly rate is $300 per hour and I require a $300 non refundable deposit which is applied to the last session of the agreed upon project or transferable to future ones.
I work in half day(3 hours) and full day(6 hours) increments. This gives you a clear idea of the total cost of the session depending on the amount of time booked.
Draw check consultations are available for a $300 flat rate. Read more under the next question βCan I see the design before my appointment?β

Due to the nature of the large scale work that I do, I understand that signing up for a design that you have not seen before hand can make some feel uneasy.
Draw checks are my way of providing time for us to go over the design ahead of time. A quick video call, just like your initial consultation, will allow us to discuss options that you can actually see over the video call. Draw checks usually last 10-20 minutes. This is when we can confirm we are headed in the right direction with the design or make small adjustments before your appointment.
Designs are not usually sent before the time of the appointment, however I usually have some options available to you when you come in for your first appointment.
If you would like to see designs before your appointment than I recommend and offer draw checks.
Draw checks are not required, but are an option for those that would like to be a bit more involved with the design before committing to a tattoo.
Draw checks are available for a flat rate of $300. This will help cover drawing time and consultation time.

Ever heard three different artists give you three different ways to care for your new tattoo? They may all be correct. Important factors like cleanliness will always be the same. However, with each style of tattooing there may be more important factors in healing than others.
At your appointment I will give you guided healing instructions that take into consideration your schedule, travel details, accessibility, etc.
My all encompassing recommendation of healing can be found HERE

First things first, you can find a lot of information about blackwork, blackouts, and coverups in my COVERUPS section.
You can also make yourself familiar with the healing process and what it might entail in my HEALING section.
For those who are new to heavy blackwork or tattoos in general, I understand that it may be a lot of information to digest. I also understand you may have questions that are not answered on my website. I encourage anyone with even the slightest interest, to fill out the contact form and we can set up a video consultation. This is the easiest way to address any questions or concerns you may have.
I love to help clients understand the process to the best of my abilities and take pride in taking the time to go over these things one on one with you.
Consultations are not an extra cost so take advantage of this!
